ABOUT TRAINSEUROPE

Welcome to the website of Trainseurope Ltd. The popularity of international train travel has increased over the years, and now more than ever, more and more people are looking to avoid lengthy check-ins and the much-publicised airport security delays when travelling. Whether you are looking for a short hop to Paris or Brussels, a leisurely rail trip around several European countries; just a train ticket from the airport to the city centre, or the thrill of travelling across the USA or through the Canadian Rockies by rail (and for more details of rail services in the USA and Canada, and how to book train tickets, seat and sleeper reservations and rail passes, contact our March office) - Trainseurope provides all of these services.

Navigation around the site is easy, with each aspect of travel on a separate page. Just click on the relevant buttons and away you go. If it's simply a question you have, then go to our FAQs as you may well get it answered there.

GREAT NEWS - despite "brexit", the £ Pound Sterling is not doing too badly against the € Euro, and the UK economy is growing even faster than even the Treasuary expected, and as Trainseurope issues many tickets - including Inter-rail passes - using the computer systems and ticket stocks of the European rail administrations, we are able to select the most economic fares and ticket conditions for your journey. Prices on many routes have returned almost to 2012 levels, and Inter-rail pass prices are still excellent value for money!! But you still need to book as early as you can (reservations for Eurostar open 6 months before travel, and most European high speed trains 4 months) to get the best fares - unlike airline tickets and air-based holidays where waiting until the last minute can net you a bargain, rail fares are always higher the closer to departure date you book! So book early if you can. If you can't, we will still try to find you the most economic fare anyway.

The Trainseurope Desk at London St. Pancras International, previously in the East Midlands Trains travel centre, has now re-located because of building work, to another location within St. Pancras station, in the main "arcade", opened last November. The picture left shows our new location, very close to the Eurostar check-in. Here you can buy, "over the counter", tickets for Eurostar to Paris, Lille and Brussels, and onward to most major destinations in Europe; Inter-rail passes; point-to-point rail tickets within Europe; and of course any necessary seat, couchette and sleeper reservations. The desk is open 7 days a week, currently from 10:00 until 17:00.

If you prefer, complete and submit by email, our "Enquiry and Reservations" form, which will be processed as quickly as possible by our skilled staff at our main office in March (Cambs.) who will get back to you with times, prices etc.

There are two versions - "Inter-Rail Global" covering almost the whole of Europe; and "InterRail One Country" valid for most countries in Europe. NEW for 2016, a Global pass entitles the holder to two free journeys (one outbound, one inbound) between any station in their country of residence and its border, an airport or seaport. These journeys must be completed in one day, with no overnight stops allowed; within the overall validity of the pass, or include a travel day if using a fllexi-pass. Furthermore children 4-11 travel free with an adult; one adult can take up to 2 children under 12 yrs! Click here for the current Inter-rail pass prices, (bearing in mind that they can fluctuate a little because of changes in exchange rates), as well as AMTRAK railpasses for the USA, Canrail passes for Canada, Japan Railpasses, and Swiss passes, Indrail Passes and many others. Keep in mind that, for security, all rail-passes are sent to you by Special Delivery, at an extra cost of £10, to reach you before 1pm next day. Of course if you buy your Inter-rail pass "over the counter" at Trainseurope at St. Pancras International, there is no such extra charge.

Our portfolio of rail and rail-related products is expanding all the time - we are now able to supply Eurailpasses - the equivalent of Inter-rail Passes, offering travel throughout Europe, but for people who live outside Europe - contact us for details.

Trainseurope can handle most aspects of train travel including Eurostar, onward European train connections, point-to-point tickets, rail passes and even the most complex journeys, and to take advantage of the most competitive prices for journeys to and within Europe, visit us in person, or speak to our experts - telephone 0871 700 7722, and you will be talking to an actual person here in the UK - Cambridgeshire to be precise - not a call centre in Bangalore! (although if you want to go there, we can sell you a rail ticket to go there too!)  You can also email the address below, of fax us on 01354 660444, or complete the "Enquiries" form on this website. For our General Terms and Conditions click on that link.

We can also provide UK-rail tickets to/from London St. Pancras, Ebbsfleet or Ashford International in conjunction with a European rail journey; however if your journey is wholly within the UK, follow the link to www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk who can sell you tickets for all UK train journeys, not only on the East Midlands Trains network. We are also one of the principal suppliers of "FIP" Eurostar and European rail tickets to railway staff.

We also supply the travel trade with many services, from individual independent travel agents and groupings like the Global Travel Group, Travel Trust Association, Worldchoice, and household names such as Thomas Cook, Going Places, All Leisure Holidays, Voyages Jules Verne, Noble Caledonia and many more. If you are in the travel industry and would like to find out how Trainseurope can help your business, email us on info@trainseurope.co.uk and we will be happy to assist you.
